General information about European IFYE Conference 2022.

The Finnish IFYEs are happy and excited to welcome you to Finland! 

The IFYE conference 2022 will be held in the middle of lake Finland in Korpilahti, Alkio-opisto from 16th ’till 23rd of July 2022. The conference site is located by the lake Päijänne and is easily accessible. We have multiple saunas waiting for you and we are preparing to upgrade your knowledge of Finnish saunas, nature, school system, culture, technology and so on. So be prepared  to Upgrading IFYE 202.2!

European IFYEs and their spouses/partners may register from the 1st of November 2021. Price of the conference is 650 EUR. If you are not a life time member of the European IFYE Association, you must also pay the membership fee of  20 CHF together with the conference fee. 

Non-Europeans may register from the 1st January.

If you have any health issues or other special needs we should be aware of, please inform us in the registration form field “special requirements”. We have an age limit of 18 in our conference. 

Conference T-shirt will only be sold by pre-order and you can pay it together with your conference fee. The price is will be told later.

Activities and tours will be completed during March, and we will send a separate inquiry for this to those who have signed up for the conference.

Deadline for registration is 29th of March.

Getting there

Korpilahti is situated in the lake Finland by the lake Päijänne (second biggest lake in Finland) nowadays a part of city called Jyväskylä. It is easily accessible by train and bus.

Distances: 

Korpilahti – Jyväskylä: 30 km

Korpilahti – Helsinki/Helsingfors: 240 km

Korpilahti – Jämsä: 25 km

Korpilahti – Tampere/Tammerfors: 120 km

Korpilahti – Turku/Åbo: 280 km

If you fly to Finland we recommend that you arrive at Helsinki airport. There you can take a connecting flight to Jyväskylä or a bus to Korpilahti or a train to Jämsä or Jyväskylä.
